The verdant terrain of Chyulu Hills National Park houses a variety of incredible Kenyan wildlife - including elephant, lion, leopard, zebra, giraffe and reedbuck. The volcanic landscape also features naturally wooded areas which are home to around 250 species of birdlife - paradise for bird watchers!
Cultural Encounters
Learn more about the fascinating culture of the Maasai and how they have evolved to protect their habitat and the local wildlife. Lion hunting is a rite of passage to the Maasai but with rapidly declining lion numbers, the Maasai warriors of this area instead show their athletic skills, strength and prowess in the biennial Maasai Olympics.
Mountain Biking
Chyulu Hills' ancient volcano peaks offer some challenging, though spectacularly scenic, cycling trails. There are wonderful lookout points along the way, as well as plenty of chance for wildlife encounters!
Horse Riding
Search for wildlife on horseback, with an unforgettable ride through the dramatic landscape of Chyulu Hills. Rides are adapted to your level of experience, so you can enjoy a horse trek no matter whether a beginner or total pro! Far quieter than a vehicle safari, you can often get very close to the animals.
